Vo was a young american guy seemed to be a little bit of strict. I got nervous at first but then he signalled me to step forward...and here it goes
Vo: hello
Me: good morning sir. How are you?
Vo: I'm fine. Pass me your passport and i-20.
I have passed itÂ
Vo: typing...typing...after about 10 sec. How many univ. have you applied to?
Me: 6...told the name...
Vo: why only university at albany?
Me: university at albany is providing me course curriculum bla bla bla...professor xyz is doing research in database...bla bla bla...
Vo:when did u passed out?
Me:2014
Vo: from which college did u do your undergraduate?(didn't understand at first but figured it out)
Me: government engineering college,Aimer, rajasthan
Vo: ok, what did u do since then?
Me: since applying to U.S. universities is a bit of lengthy process...so prepared for my exams gre and toefl and after giving exams I have filled out application forms for universities and after that done an internship in java/j2ee and waited for response simultaneously.
Vo: who is going to fund you?
Me: my father
Vo: what does your father do?
Me: he is a government employee and in educational department and just been promoted to lecturer position
Vo: what's his annual income?
Me: 7 lacs
Vo: this is a pretty expensive program...how are you gonna fund this program?
Me: my father had his savings in the form of saving accounts and mutual funds which worth more than 29 lacs and also we have property in form of immovable assets which worth more than 67 lacs.
Vo: ok, where is the property located?
Me: alwar, rajasthan
Vo: (and here comes the golden words) ok, I am approving your visa you can collect your passport in 3 days...
Me: thank you sir....
He didn't even check a single document except i-20 which was pinned along with visa. The main thing is keep your calm and be confident...there is no way they reject your visa if u are prepared and confident enough...
