F1 Visa Interview experience of Rama Krishna at Hyderabad Consulate on 2-7-2014

ME: Good morning sir(with a smile)

VO: Good morning . Pass me your passport and I20

I did

VO: Which univ? 

ME: XXX Univ.

VO: Why this univ?

ME: This univ offers me the advanced courses on which I have experience. This helps me to gain much knowledge and improve my knowledge which helps my career growth.

VO: Which tool?

ME: XXXX tool sir.

ME: Place your fingers on the scanner.

I did

VO: How do you manage to pay the fee?

ME: I have taken bank loan of XX Lakh which is XX USD and I have funds of XX Lakh in my account which is XX USD. This will cover my studies and living expenses.

VO: Why only this univ?

Me: Professor XXXX recently has done a research on XXX (This is actually true) and achieved the milestone based on the tool which I am working on(Sometimes the VO actually Google's the answer you said to check whether you have bluffed. So be wise while answering this). I want to do my research under the same professor which adds added advantage to my career.

He took my passport and I20 in the hand.(For a moment thought it's a reject. Heart beat rose like hell). 

Gave my I20 back and placed my passport some where.

And then came the words "I am approving your visa. Enjoy your stay in the US. You can collect your passport tomorrow".

I was speechless. I didn't believe that I got the visa.
