F1 Visa Interview experience of Ramesh Reddy at Chennai Consulate on 7-11-2014

Reached consulate by 6AM. Allowed me inside at 7:20AM

Counter - 26

VO was a lady around 35 years. I was the very first candidate in the queue.

VO: Come forward (hand signed)

Me: Good Morning ma'am (with big smile)

VO: Pass me your I-20 and Passport

Me: Here they are, ma'am (smile)

VO: So, nooorth westrrenn polytechchchnich univerrrrsityyy (stressed out it)

Me: Yes ma'am, that's correct

VO: Why this University?

Me: I have started telling about University

VO: No, don't tell me about the school. I know about it.

Me: Ohhh!

VO: Who suggested this University?

Me: I attended some educational fairs and all

VO: What are the subjects you are going to take on first semester?

Me: told

VO: Explain them

Me: explained

VO: Who's gonna fund you?

Me: My parents

VO: What is your dad?

Me: explained

VO: What will you do after MS?

Me: (I thought she is gonna approve my Visa) I'll come back and find a job in top MNC's. Because US education has very good influence in Indian market.

VO: How much salary you will get?

Me: Around ₹ 50K

VO: Sorry sir! I can't issue the visa this time (gave me 214b, she didn't mention particular reason. 214b form is in light blue color)

Me: Thank you ma'am!
