The visa officer was black american lady age around 30-35 yrs. Infront of me all the applicants got visa approved( approx 10 members). I was the last second applicant in the queue. I was relaxed & confident enough because every one was getting visa. She was not asking even a single document.
My Visa Experience......
She waved her hand to come forward..
Me: Good morning mam. How are u doing?
Vo: no reply??
Vo: passport & I-20 please??
Me: Yeah sure, here it is...
typing for 10-15 seconds... then
Vo: why Software Engineering?
Me: I want to work as a senior manager of software development and I want to get expertise in the software field and as well as the programs offered in software engineering expects the students to focus on a range of topics such as s/w design, s/w development methodologies and s/w construction. It also makes us to work as a team for developing s/w which will make us learn new things, faces challenges and will help me reach my goals in future.
Vo: How will u manage ur funds??
Me: I am having savings of xyz lakhs in my account and my father is an agriculturist. we are having 9 acres of land.
Vo: what do u grow??
Me: cotton..
Vo: only cotton?? ( I was unable to hear because she was away from her mike)
Me: pardon can u repeat it again
Vo: only cotton??
Me: yes, only cotton
Vo: what is your surname??
Me: (In my passport there was no surname given) No, my full name is xyz.
she was typing for approx 25 seconds...
After that the golden words came...
Vo: Congratulations!!!... your visa is approved.
Me: Thank you mam, Have a nice day.
My feelings was from out of this world.
Thanks for everyone who had posted their visa experiences. I Hope, this would help everyone....
Note: keep ur body away from the desk (stand a little bit inch away from the window). Don't put ur hands in front of the window. Maintain eye contact and smile always ( if the visa officer is not seeing u then also maintain eye contact and give a pleasant smile).
