F1 Visa Interview experience of Vijay Kumar M at Chennai Consulate on 21-10-2014

My F1 Visa experience for Spring 2015

University: University of Arkansas , Fayetteville

Course: MS in Computer Engineering

I went to the consulate at 5:30 AM

I'm the first person to stand in the line, waited in the queue for two hours.

I'm the second person to get interviewed.

VO is middle aged man

VO: Please step forward and pass your I20 and passport ( forgot to say good morning)

Me: Good morning sir, how are you doing? ( while passing the documents)

VO: I'm doing fine what about you?

Me: I'm also doing fine sir

VO: So you are going to University of Arkansas

ME: yes sir

VO: Is it the main campus?

ME: yes sir It is the main campus located in Fayetteville

VO: Why this university

ME: said ( I said that I'm interested in the research going on in the department of Computer Engineering and I want to be part of it)

VO: Do you know Razorbacks? ( for a while I did not understand this question)

ME: yes sir I know it ( it is the name of a football team related to the university)

VO: Your VISA is approved. Have a nice stay in US

This is very elaborated version of my interview which lasted less than one minute

I came out of the Consulate at 7:40 AM
