After being rejected twice at Mumbai on 17th DEC '14 & 12th FEB '15, I have changed the consulate.
Woke up at around 6 AM, got ready by 7 AM and reached the consulate by 7:15 AM.
VO: Come forward
Me: Good morning ma'am (with a big smile and loud voice.)
VO: Good morning. Pass your Passport & I-20
Me: Sure ma'am.
VO: So which university & why?
Me: (told)
VO: Which course?
Me: MBA with specialization in International Business & Organizational Leadership
VO: Ok! You have applied for Healthcare Management before?
Me: (Shocked but be calm.) No ma'am, all two times in past applied for the same course!
VO: Ok! Why this course?
Me: Ma'am, after completing my Bachelors in Computer Science, I have been working as Java Developer cum Business Analyst in a telecom company. So, I feel that I have technical skills but need some global management skill. So, I decided to pursue my MBA with this specialization.
VO: Ok! So, from how long have you been working?
Me: 10 months.
VO: Ok! You have applied in Mumbai before?
Me: Yes ma'am.
VO: Then, why did you come to Hyderabad this time?
Me: (I prepared for this question.) Ma'am, dates are not available in Mumbai.
VO: Ok! (She took my Passport and typing something. I'm guessing that I got Visa.) So, who is funding you?
Me: My dad
VO: What is he doing? What is his income?
Me: (told)
VO: Ok! Any sibling?
Me: Yes, one younger sister.
VO: (Golden words...) Ok man, your Visa is approved!
Me: Thank you ma'am!
Tips: See in interviewers eyes and be confident throughout the interview. Your one mistake will lead you to rejection. I knew the pain when we get rejected but trust me, one day you will be happy for getting Visa, for sure.
