VO was a young American officer around 25-28 years old guy. Before me, he approved 2 F1 and 1 H1 Visas and rejected 1 F1 Visa. He was so cool.
Me: Good morning officer! I'm Ajay. How do u do?
VO: (No reply, just asked me to..) Pass your Passport.
Me: (with a smile, not big one) Sure officer (and gave)
VO: Which university?
Me: Virginia International University, located at Fairfax.
VO: How many universities did you apply?
Me: Six sir
VO: Any admits from other universities?
Me: Yes sir, i got two more admits.
VO: What are they?
Me: UCM and NYIT sir.
VO: I didn't get u?
Me: I.e., University of Central Missouri and New York Institute of Technology.
VO: Why did you choose this university?
Me: First and foremost factor for selecting this university is course being offered... (VO interrupted)
VO: Which course?
Me: Networking sir.
VO: This course is not offered in other universities?
Me: Of course, they offer but no research facility.
VO: There is no research facilities in that universities...?
Me: I don't mean by that sir. In VIU only, the research on networking is going on but in other universities, research is on database and internet protocols but not of my area of interest.
VO: Your GRE score?
Me: 290
VO: UG %?
Me: 62.4% sir
Vo: Can I see them?
Me: Sure sir, just a second... Here it is, my GRE Score Card and my B.Tech certificate (even he did not see them)
Vo: Okay your Visa is approved!
Me: Thank you Officer!
I came out but I'm in confusion, weather my Visa is approved‬ or not. I checked my file about ten times weather Officer has taken my passport or not.
Even VO didn't ask me any other documents except my GRE Score Card and B.Tech certificate. Even he didn't take my I-20.
Guys just be confident. Don't be nervous. Always look forward into VO eyes and say answer with smiley face and loudly. It determines your confidence level and your determination.
