Counter - 12
Went to the Consulate at 8:00AM and waited for 45 minutes for token and then waited for another 1 hour for my turn. Finally on screen "E-139 counter 12."
Went there. There are 3 people in front of me and 1 at the interview desk. All are for F1 Visa only. Everyone got approved!
My turn.
VO: (young beautiful American with a charming face around 28 years of age) said Next
Me: Good Morning Officer!
VO: Good Morning! Can I see your Passport?
Me: Sure (and Gave)
VO: Your I-20
Me: Gave
VO: Purpose of your Trip?
Me: To pursue my Masters in the department of Electrical Electronics Engineering from the University of New Haven, Connecticut.
VO: Which University?
Me: University of New Haven
VO: (Looking at my I-20 in a strange way and asked me) Where did you get this from?
Me: Shocked and said from the University itself
VO: This looks weird
VO: When did you passed out?
Me: May 2014, ma'am
VO: What is your %
Me: 67.77% with 3 backlogs
VO: Your GRE
Me: Said
VO: Can I see your GRE Score Card
Me: Yes Ma'am, just a second (searched it for a minute and then found it and gave her.)
VO: Did you apply for any other schools?
Me: Yes Ma'am, I have applied for 5 universities and got admits from 4 and the other one is under Department Review.
VO: Can you name the schools.
Me: Said
VO: Among these four why only UNH?
Me: Said some prepared stuff about University and research as Wireless Security Networks
VO: What is Wireless stuff ?
Me: Wireless Security Networks, this is to enhance the security purpose of the devices which are Wireless
VO: (Laughed and asked) What are you gonna study in your first sem ?
Me: Explained the well prepared answer without any stops.
VO: Who is gonna fund you ?
Me: My parents
VO: What is your father ?
Me: Said about occupation, annual income, savings.
VO: (Gave few awkward expressions looking at system and said) I think there is some problem. Please go to 7th counter and verify your photograph and come back. (She left the counter too.)
Me: went to the 7th counter and gave my passport and photo and then that VO asked me go back to my counter
Me: went back to the counter and there was a person stopping me I said ma'am asked me to come back then VO saw me and said oh you come.
VO: Passport
Me: I was giving passport and I-20 too
VO: Only Passport is enough. Let's start everything again
Me: Smiled
VO: asked me to place my fingers
Me: Done
VO: (looked at me with a smile and said) Have a nice study in US (and has thrown my passport beside)
Me: Thank you so much Ma'am! Have a great day!
Finally Visa done. Watched her again while coming back from the counter and gave a smile.
Came out in hurry with a big smile on my face even the cleaners can understand my Approval.
