First I was rejected at Chennai Consulate, on 29th December 2014. 8:30 AM slot.
This time I have scheduled my appointment at Hyderabad Consulate.
Token No 367.
Counter No 13.
Queue of 6, and I was the 6th person.
Consular was, middle-aged American lady.
2 H1B Visa's rejected,
1 F1 Visa rejected,
2 H4 Visa's rejected.
In the queue, I tried to make an eye contact with the consular. Whenever she saw, I smiled.
It was my turn, and She waved her hand and called me.
With lot of nervousness, looking at 5 rejection's in front of me, I stepped forward.
We were instructed by the Interpreters to hand over the Passport and I-20 to the consular immediately when we reach the window.
- Me : Good Morning Officer, How are you doing today? (Passport & I-20 given)
- VO : --- No Answer ---
- Me : Hope you are having a fantastic New Year, Officer.
- VO : (Gave a tough look, without a reply, and again she started typing something, without looking at me.)
- Me : (After a minute) Excuse me Officer?
- VO : Yes Gentlemen, which University are you going for?
- Me : (Said)
- VO : For what? (with anger)
- Me : To pursue my Masters in Business Administration.
- VO : Why MBA?
- Me : I want to Improve my Administrative, Organizational and Managerial Skills. With this Course, it would lead me to my professional Endeavors. I mean, to achieve my future goals, and I will be leading in the Big Job market with Professional Salary Packages.
- VO : Why only this university?
- Me : This is one of the finest university in the United States, and this university and the program I have chosen are regionally accredited.
- VO : What else do you know about this university?
- Me : This college have a highly professional Professors, who are already leading in the market with their thesis and research. The research programs conducted by this university under Dr. Jennifer and Dr. Rahul Dixit are much interesting, and when I got a chance to interact with this officials, they promised me that, if my credentials are good, I will be given the chance to participate in this research program.
- VO : Good. When did you Graduated ?
- ME : 2013.
- VO : What are you doing since then?
- ME : I am working with a company as Assistant Manager.
- VO : What type of company is it?
- ME : It's a construction company and it also undertakes Indian Government Public Projects.
- VO : Good, How much is your Undergrad % ?
- ME : (Said)
- VO : Who's gonna pay for your Education at United States?
- ME : Both of my parents are earning, and they are paying for me for my higher studies and living expenses.
- VO : What is your dad?
- ME : He is Chairman to a Construction Firm and he has other businesses too.
- VO : How much does he make in a year?
- ME : Nearly ₹ 40 lakhs per annum.
- VO : What? Then why are you working with some other company?
- ME : No ma'am, I am working in my company, as an employee!
- VO : Good. Ok gentlemen, I have been silent for first five minutes to check your Stability and status, but you tried to make me talk with you, and you are pretty much confident, that's good.
- ME : Thank you officer.
- VO : Your Visa is approved gentlemen. Welcome to USA. Study hard. Have a pleasant stay!
- ME : Thanks ma'am, you made my day! Thank you very much.
Guys just Confidence is needed to crack a Visa process, maintain eye contact, and be confident in what you are telling. and convince the consular to trust you.
